What is a change order? How does it affect my signed proposal?

A change order is an amendment to your construction project's scope of work, and project costs.

Your project proposal includes an estimate of the work that is to be performed. There are clear inclusions and exclusions in your estimate.

As with any type of construction, sometimes there are deviations to the original scope of work that was initially proposed.

Common reason for change orders:

  • Wood Rot
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Additional Layers
  • Painting of Raw Wood (Optional)

If an unforeseen conditions come up that require a change order, our production team will get in touch with you to discuss what work needs to be performed and what the costs will be.
