From the Ahuimanu HOA Website: 

"You do not need BOD approval if you are installing a PV system or a solar hot water heating system. In addition the BOD will not require you to get approval of the BOD for additions to your home."

Meeting Frequency: 

"We are required to have at least one meeting per year and all members are invited to attend. You must be a home owner or their legal representative. In the past we had monthly meetings and changed to quarterly meetings and most recently meetings were called on an as needed basis."
